Ready, Aye, Ready

Too much time on aircraft (and the road generally) recently has resulted in the following brief movie synopses(*):

Most excellent. Go watch it:

• Pirates Of The Carribean: At World's End: It pains me to say this, but it's a good non-animated Disney movie.
• Quebec Quebec: Funny, witty, brief.
• Ratatouille: Yes, it is that good.
• Shake Hands With The Devil: Depressing but fascinating.
• Stardust: Charming and fun.

Meh, but it passed the time:

• The Bourne Ultimatum: Compent, enjoyable but hardly groundbreaking.
• Enchanted: A pastiche on Disney-style movies which ends up being a sincere, traditional Disney flick.
• Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix: Competent, enjoyable but hardly...wait, I've said this before.
• The Kingdom: Almost succeeds despite the cast.
• National Treasure: The Redcoats are coming, the Redcoats are coming!
• Resident Evil: It aimed low and actually wasn't bad.
• The Sentinel: Standard Secret Service style scenario.
• Syriana: Disappointing and disjointed, yet still interesting.

I'd like the two hours of my life back but I don't plan on hunting down the executive producer:

• The Dark Is Rising: The Seeker: Another childhood memory filleted.
• Death At A Funeral: British comedy that should have been funny and wasn't.
• Leon: The Professional: Maybe if it hadn't been talked up quite so much...
• Live Free Or Die Hard: Stop watching about half way through; you've seen all the good bits.
• Lucky Number Slevin: Attempted US version of a British gangster movie; little wit but so many words.
• The Invasion: It wasn't bad so much as not very good.
• Shrek The Third: Someone referred to this as "Shrek The Turd" while another as "The cast phoned in their performances;" both were a little too kind.

Oh my god, my poor eyes, my poor brain!:

• Virtuosity: Some evil person recommended this to me; when I remember who it was, a price will be exacted.
